Diversity “training” alone will not create cultural changes
Diversity “training” (professional development) is one of the many elements of the D and I plan that falls under organizational communication, and needs to be applied as one of the last stages of D and I implementation and practices. If “training” is done without all the other D and I Plan essential components, it will be an ineffective way to try to impact cultural changes at the organizational level.
“Training” on diversity must be incorporated after all of the essential components of a Diversity and inclusion Plan are put in place.
